Why do we require a valid email address and credit card number?

• Without an email address you will not be able to validate your account. Also, notifications such as if you are outbid on an item or win an item will be sent to your email address. It is a fast and easy way for Purple Wave to stay connected with you.
• We require a credit card number to be stored on file to verify that our bidders are credible customers. Requiring a valid credit card helps to prevent faulty or fraudulent bidders. This is for the safety of both our current buyers and sellers. All credit card numbers are secured through the Thawte system and can not be accessed  by anyone outside of Purple Wave and can not be charged without your permission. Purple Wave is proactive in protecting your personal information.
