Bid for Blue

Purple Wave and the Kansas FFA Foundation have created the Bid for Blue program to support Kansas FFA chapters and statewide FFA activities. Through the program, Purple Wave donates a portion of its commission earned on certain assets to Kansas FFA chapters and the Kansas FFA Foundation. Bidders support Kansas FFA by bidding on FFA Bid for Blue assets at www.purplewave.com And, the winning bidder can tell Purple Wave to send part of the donation to a specific Kansas FFA chapter or the Kansas FFA Foundation. This is a joint project between the Kansas FFA, the Kansas FFA Foundation, Inc., and Purple Wave Inc.

Bidder participation

Each winning bidder of an eligible asset will be asked to designate a Kansas FFA chapter to receive a portion of Purple Wave’s donation related to the asset. An easy to use online designation form will be sent to each winning bidder after the auction ends. If a Kansas FFA chapter is not designated, the entire donation will be made to the Kansas FFA Foundation to support statewide FFA activities.

Chapter participation

Share this opportunity with your FFA members and families, your school administration and your community. Step up and promote Bid for Blue by placing an advertisement in your school or community newspaper, lining up an interview on a local radio station and distributing Bid for Blue flyers to businesses and individuals in your district. Participation is purely voluntary.

Supporting Kansas FFA

Foundation funds received from this project will go to further sponsor programs supported by Purple Wave on the state level (e.g., the Agriculture Communications Career Development Event and District Leadership Conference). Chapters are encouraged to use funds designated however the Advisor and officer team deem necessary.

Kansas FFA Foundation, Inc.

The Kansas FFA Foundation, Inc. is focused on enabling the Kansas agriculture education and FFA programs to empower future leaders and their passions. The Kansas FFA Foundation will do this by developing and sustaining collaborative relationships resulting in financial support and service opportunities.
