Aaron is a first-generation auctioneer from Sharon, Kan. He started with Purple Wave while in college in 2001, when he began developing systems to better handle the company’s merchandise and ever-changing inventory. Aaron holds a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Kansas State University and has been involved with every aspect of the auction business. From 2007 through spring of 2011, Aaron supervised web site expansion and systems development and used his expertise to build and enhance Purple Wave’s Cliquidator Internet-based clerking and cashiering platform. In March of 2011, Aaron assumed the role of evangelizing community interaction on purplewave.com and in non-traditional media.

Aaron is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and Kansas Auctioneers Association. He has received Certified Auctioneers Institute, Auction Technology Specialist and Certified Estate Specialist designations.

Aaron is an instructor for the Auction Technology Specialist designation course offered by NAA and he is currently serving his fourth year as a member of the NAA Technology Committee. In September, 2008, Aaron launched AuctioneerTech, a blog and podcast about technology and how auctioneers can use technology to help their businesses. Aaron began a four-year term on the Board of Trustees for the National Auctioneers Association Education Institute in July, 2009. In September, 2009, Aaron placed fifth at the Kansas Auctioneers Association Bid-call Championship. Aaron was elected to fill a one-year term on the Kansas Auctioneers Association Board of Directors in January, 2011.
